Nicole Junkermann, NJF Capital founder, presents an A-Z of Femtech — a series of short videos focused on specific areas of interest in this hugely important and exciting field.

In 2019 Femtech received almost $800 million in funding.

For investors, Femtech is no longer a niche category — it’s expected to become a $50 billion dollar industry by 2025.

Traditionally women’s health has been underfunded and researched, this means there’s plenty of opportunity for startups to provide solutions for unmet needs.

The women’s equity movement is also gaining traction, resulting in more women in leadership positions which reflects the deals that get funded.

As more Femtech businesses get funded, more women are encouraged to launch startups in this space.

And as exits get bigger, the investment community has realised that it can make money and have a positive impact on women’s health.
